High School Diploma Classes (Formerly GED/HSE Classes) Southwestern Illinois College

Adult Education and Literacy provides FREE classes preparing individuals for the GED or HiSET exams to obtain their State of Illinois High School Diploma.

Classroom instruction covers the subject matter a student will encounter on each of the 4 subject matter tests: Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, and Math. In addition to covering the basic content of the GED & HiSet exams, classroom instruction will also focus on test-taking skills.

Classes are offered at each of SWIC’s 4 campuses:

Belleville, Red Bud, Granite City Sam Wolf, and East St. Louis Wyvetter Younge.

Each of the 4 campuses offer the following class day & time options:
Monday through Thursday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 pm – 8:20 pm
