Welcome to the Belleville Campus Success Center!

The Success Center is available to help you, the student, develop the learning strategies necessary to reach your academic potential by supplementing and enhancing classroom instruction. This is accomplished through a variety of support services. You can find our dates of operation at the bottom of this page.

Tutoring: The Success Center staff, LACE assistants, and peer tutors provide tutoring in a number of academic areas.

Workshops: Workshops are offered each semester on general, and specific academic skills, study skills and career exploration. The Success Center staff as well as faculty and staff from throughout the college facilitate the workshops.

Resources: The Success Center computers are equipped with educational software and Internet access. Instructional videos for academic skills and study skills and equipment such as graphing calculators are available for use in the Success Center.

Online Writing Lab (OWL): The purpose of the OWL is to provide access to writing tutors for Southwestern Illinois College students who have difficulty coming to the Success Centers. Writing tutors provide analysis and suggestions for improvement of papers that are submitted online.
