The Civil Engineering Technology program prepares students with skills necessary for employment as a civil engineering technician. Employment opportunities include consulting engineering firms, testing laboratories, highway constructors, utilities and local, state and federal governmental agencies.
Learning emphasis is placed on activities related to civil construction including; surveying, materials testing/ quality control, drafting and construction inspection. This career path offers opportunities that include a balance between indoor and outdoor work common in the construction industry.
