Get started on the path to an engineering degree with an Associate in Engineering Science (AES1)
Are you interested in a career in engineering? Get started down the path to a rewarding career by pursuing an Associates in Engineering Science and transferring to a four-year engineering program. There are several engineering curriculum subplans that serve as general guides to the selection of courses toward fulfilling degree requirements specific to your intended engineering major at a four-year college or university.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the AES degree, students will be able to:
- Identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- Apply visual and spatial reasoning to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
- Utilize the engineering design process to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
- Effectively participate and collaborate on an engineering team to determine goals, plan tasks, and meet project objectives.
- Acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
