The Aeronautical Information Specialist Option provides the student with the ability to enter the exciting world of Aerospace careers.

He/she will become highly specialized in the area of aeronautical navigation with worldwide aeronautical charts that include enroute, Terminal Instrument Procedures, Instrument Approach Procedures, Departure Procedures and Standard Terminal Arrivals. Tasks include chart development, verifying accuracy, adding updates along with a multitude of related tasks.

Technicians utilize a variety of high-tech data resources including satellite imaging. Aeronautical Information Specialists are highly skilled and well compensated. They are employed by a wide variety of Government and Aerospace organizations such as Boeing, Garmin, Federal Aviation Administration, Jeppesen, National Geospatial Agency and many more and related contractors located throughout the U.S.

The St. Louis area will be home to one of the largest new facilities in the U.S. that utilizes the specialized skills contained within this career track.
