Scholarship Application Checklist

  • Obtain a high school diploma (or its equivalent) before the start of the semester that you are applying for.
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Hold a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, unless noted otherwise in the scholarship criteria.
  • High school students – ensure your transcripts have been submitted to Enrollment Services.
  • GED graduates – send proof of your GED test score if you did not earn your GED at SWIC.
  • College students – provide all college transcripts to Enrollment Services. You do not need to submit transcripts if SWIC is the ONLY college you have attended.
  • The application is open Dec. 1st through Nov. 30th. There are three selection cycles.

Application Process

1. Access the SWIC Foundation Scholarship Portal

Whether you’re currently enrolled at SWIC (including Dual Credit students) or not yet enrolled, you can begin your scholarship application by accessing the SWIC Foundation scholarship portal:

  • If you’re a current student, sign in to your eStorm account, click the Scholarship tile, and select the “APPLY FOR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS TODAY!” button in the yellow box to be directed to the portal. Sign in using your school account.
  • If you’re not currently enrolled, visit swic.awardspring.com/prospective/signin and click “Register” to create an account using your personal email.

2. On your Scholarship Dashboard click “Apply” or “Complete” to start your application.

3. Answer all the questions as thoroughly as possible.

  • As you complete the application, more questions might appear based on your previous answers. All questions must be answered in order to move forward.
  • There may be follow-up questions or requests regarding specific scholarship opportunities for which you qualify. These will appear on the right-hand side of the dashboard. These requirements must be completed for your application to be considered.
  • Check the spelling on your essays and make sure information is adequate and thorough.
  • Completing all tabs of your application will enable the Submit Application button in the lower right corner. Click it to submit your application, after that, you will be redirected to your dashboard.

4. Submit your application!

After you have submitted the application, your answers will be auto-matched with our list of scholarships. There will be follow up questions/requests related to specific scholarship opportunities you qualify for on the right-hand side of the screen. Please complete the follow-up requests to be considered for those opportunities.
