Email Forwarding Blocked

Southwestern Illinois College has disabled the ability to automatically forward emails from student accounts (student.swic.edu) to external email services such as Gmail and iCloud.

As a result, any previously configured auto forwarding rules will no longer function, and messages sent to your SWIC email account may not be delivered to your personal email. This is part of ongoing efforts to improve security and reliability of student communications.

What this means for you:

• You should check your SWIC student email account regularly for important communications.
• Official college notifications—including class updates, financial aid information, and campus announcements—will only be sent to your SWIC email account.
• If you have relied on forwarding in the past, please plan to access your SWIC email directly.

How to disable automatic forwarding in Outlook

  1. Log into your student email on a web browser.
  2. At the top of the window in Outlook on the web, select Settings  Settings .
  3. Select Mail > Forwarding.
  4. Toggle the Disable forwarding switch and select Save.

If you have trouble logging into your student email, you may need to reset your eSTORM password.
