The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act provides continuing federal support for rigorous CTE programs that prepare students for today’s competitive work force. For more information, contact the Perkins office, through the Dean of Technical Education, at 618-931-0600, ext. 7420. Additional services for students enrolled in career and technical programs are available through Career Activities and Employment Center and Disability & Access Center.

Southwestern Illinois College offers initiatives and activities for secondary and postsecondary students that lead to college and career readiness and a smooth transition from secondary to postsecondary education and the work force. We partner with SWIC district high schools to develop and implement programs of study using the career cluster model that serves as a framework for counselors and parents and a roadmap for students to plan that pathway to the future.
