What is SWIC-o-ween?
SWIC-o-ween is an online virtual way to celebrate this Halloween Season! Hosted by Southwestern Illinois College.
We hope you enjoy the Halloween events we have planned and have a great time!

Trunk or Treat!
Join us at our Belleville Location for our Spooktacular Trunk or Treat Oct 28th 6-8 P.M.! and/or Join us at our Red Bud Location OCTO-BOO Fest Oct 21st 6-8 P.M.! (PRIZES – Candy!!)

Dressing up for Halloween?
Enter the Wicked Costume party contest by Attending SWIC’s Wicked Costume Party October 19th 11-1 in the Quad. Entries and winners will be posted to SWIC-o-ween Board (PRIZES – Prize basket with Gift Card)

Like to play hidden picture games?
Find the hidden pumpkin at an enrollment table. (PRIZE – Keep the SWIC pumpkin as a prize)

Looking for Tutoring?
Visit the Success Center. (PRIZES – Halloween themed prize pack)
Just for fun activities

Carving, decorating or painting a pumpkin?
Show your pumpkin creation in our PUMPKIN-fest. (NO PRIZES – MUST BE STUDENT, FACULTY OR STAFF TO SUBMIT)

Creating Fall art?
Submit your art to be showcased on the website in our EEK-taskic Art board. (NO PRIZES – MUST BE STUDENT, FACULTY OR STAFF TO SUBMIT)

Visit Beyond SWIC-o-ween for fun activities to do at home this Halloween season. Have an idea you want to submit? Send us your Halloween craft Ideas and we will post it to our hub!

Students are welcome to enter one or all of the activities.
This year Pumpkin Fest, Spooky Stories and EEK-tastic Art Board are not contests however allow you to display your work and only Students, Faculty and/or Staff can submit to have their work displayed.
You can enter any or all of the activities by visiting the area on the day of the event or for online activities on the “Submit” page. Please note you must be a Student, Faculty and/or Staff to participate in most of the activities and contests.
Community activities: Join us at our Spooktacular Trunk or Treat, visit Beyond SWIC-o-ween and/or download a coloring sheet on our EEK-taskic Art Board.
Enrollment Spooktacular and Beyond SWIC-o-ween are open to everyone.

How do I participate?
October 1st-31st
Visit the Success Center from October 1 – 31 to be entered to win a Halloween themed prize pack!
Each time you visit the Success Center you will be entered into a raffle for a Halloween themed prize pack!
Winners will be notified by email or phone by November 2nd.

First to find the SWIC pumpkin get to keep the SWIC Pumpkin as a prize. Visit Enrollment Spooktacular for more information.
Judging
Judging
There will be a team of 4-6 impartial student, faculty and/or staff judges.
The scale will be on a 1-10 rating.

Wicked Costume Party Contest
- Contestants will be judged on 5 criteria: Creativity, Originality, Effort, Authenticity and Presentation
- Awards will be given for the First Place in each category (Funniest, Scariest/Spookiest and Most Original).

Pumpkin-fest
- Contestants will be judged on 5 criteria: Creativity, Design Originality, Effort, Difficulty, Presentation
- Awards will be given for the First Place in each category (Carved and Uncarved).
