The Film Program at Southwestern Illinois College trains students in both Film Study - understanding, analyzing, and writing about film - and Motion Picture Production - the technical and aesthetic aspects of making fictional and documentary movies. Students gain skills they can use in professional situations as well as for their own lifelong personal enjoyment.

A variety of careers in advertising, business, the film industry, television and government are open to students who graduate with a bachelor's degree in Film including:
