Literature is one of the great creative and universal means of communicating the emotional, spiritual or intellectual concerns of humankind.

LITERATURE PRE-MAJOR

Literature may instruct and inform, entertain, express personal joy or pain, or advocate a particular point of view – whether it is political, social or aesthetic. Courses in Literature are designed to help students become more sophisticated and knowledgeable critical readers of written, oral and visual texts, as well as to help students produce more sophisticated written, oral and visual texts of their own.
