Get Started

• Complete a new student information form to get a SWIC ID Number*.
• Set up eSTORM and SWIC email. Check these frequently for important info. 
• Apply for financial aid and foundation scholarships.

*Students who have taken SWIC dual credit classes do not need to complete the new student information form. SWIC student ID numbers can be retrieved during eSTORM set-up.

Course Placement

An academic advisor will review your high school transcript and determine eligibility for college level English and/or math using the following:

1. 7^th Semester GPA
2. SAT or ACT score
3. SWIC Placement Test

Prepare for Day 1

• Check in with Financial Aid and payment arrangements.
• Pick up a student ID card and parking sticker/ Metro pass from Public Safety.
• Attend an in-person New Student Orientation.
• Find your classes with a guided or self-guided campus tour.
• Get your textbooks. Students can buy or rent through SWIC Barnes & Noble Bookstore.
