Women’s Soccer Coaches
Juergen Huettner – Facility & Safety Coordinator and Head Coach
Juergen Huettner is entering eighth season as women’s head soccer coach, taking the 2020-21 squad to an overall record of 8 wins, 5 losses and 0 ties. In his seven seasons with SWIC, Huettner has compiled a record of 91-37-7.
Prior to Huettner’s arrival at Southwestern Illinois College, he was the women’s soccer coach at St. Louis Community College (2009-2013). In five seasons with STLCC, Huettner had compiled a record of 62-44-5, including three winning seasons in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
He led the STLCC Women’s Soccer Team to three Regional Championships (2009, 2012, 2013), two District Championships (2012 & 2013) and two appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament.
Huettner was also named Region XVI Coach of the Year in 2009, 2012 and 2013 and Region XXIV Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2019.
LINDSAY EVERSMEYER – Assistant Coach
Lindsay Eversmeyer is going into her 9th season as the Head Coach of Fire & Ice WPSL, which is a women’s semi-pro team competing in the WPSL. Her team has won 3 Conference Championships (2013, 2017, 2018), 2 Central Region Championships (2013, 2017), and one WPSL National Championship (2017). She is a 3x Heartland Conference Coach of the Year. Her all-time record with FISC is 58-16-8.
She’s currently going on her third year as the Director of the only female-led all-girls soccer club in the St. Louis area called Fire & Ice Soccer Academy.
Prior to SWIC, Eversmeyer was the Assistant Coach for the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and the Head Coach at Harris-Stowe State University.
She played collegiately at the University of Kansas where she received a Big 12 Player of the Week Award and made 2 1st Team All-Tournament teams as a freshman. She transferred home to play at Harris-Stowe State University and currently holds 5 offensive scoring records, was MVP of the Conference in 2001, and received the HSSU Distinguished Alumni Award. She also was the 1st and only woman to play men’s professional soccer in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the St. Louis Steamers.
In 2018 she received the Keough Award at the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame, as well as the Soccer Legend of the Year Award presented by the CYC organization.
Brad Dietrich – Assistant Coach
Coach Dietrich is entering his fourth season with the Blue Storm. Prior to coming to SWIC, Coach Dietrich was the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Belleville West High School, Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Belleville East, Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at St Louis Community College and Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach and Boys Head Soccer Coach at Althoff High School. Brad was also the Head Goal Keeper Trainer for the Central/South IL Olympic Development Program (Illinois Youth Soccer Association) for five years.
Brad played collegiate Soccer for McKendree University.
