Women's Soccer Coaches - Southwestern Illinois College

Juergen Huettner – Facility & Safety Coordinator and Head Coach

Juergen Huettner is entering ninth season as women’s head soccer coach, taking the 2020-21 squad to an overall record of 8 wins, 5 losses and 0 ties. In his seven seasons with SWIC, Huettner has compiled a record of 91-37-7.
Prior to Huettner’s arrival at Southwestern Illinois College, he was the women’s soccer coach at St. Louis Community College (2009-2013). In five seasons with STLCC, Huettner had compiled a record of 62-44-5, including three winning seasons in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
He led the STLCC Women’s Soccer Team to three Regional Championships (2009, 2012, 2013), two District Championships (2012 & 2013) and two appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament.
Huettner was also named Region XVI Coach of the Year in 2009, 2012 and 2013 and Region XXIV Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2019.

Brad Dietrich – Assistant Coach

Coach Dietrich is entering his fifth season with the Blue Storm. Prior to coming to SWIC, Coach Dietrich was the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Belleville West High School, Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Belleville East, Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at St Louis Community College and Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach and Boys Head Soccer Coach at Althoff High School. Brad was also the Head Goal Keeper Trainer for the Central/South IL Olympic Development Program (Illinois Youth Soccer Association) for five years.

Brad played collegiate Soccer for McKendree University.

Assistant Coach – Adam Sanchez

Coach Sanchez is entering his nineteenth season with the Blue Storm. He previously was the men’s assistant coach and now is entering his first year as women’s assistant coach. Throughout his coaching career he has participated in various club, recreational and training programs to help strengthen the next generation of collegiate soccer players.

Adam played collegiate Soccer for Belleville Area College 98′,99′. The 99′ team placed 4th at Nationals and finished the season ranked #2 in the country. He continued his education at Maryville University and received a B.A. in Graphic Design with a minor in Psychology

Volunteer Assistant Coach – Emilie Blomenkamp

Emilie is entering her first season with SWIC’s Women’s Soccer team. Prior to coaching at SWIC, Emilie played soccer for the Blue Storm from 2016 to 2018 under Coach Juergen. Following her time at SWIC, Emilie went on to play soccer for the University of Southern Indiana where she would go on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services. After graduation, Emilie returned to the Belleville area and now works for SWIC in the Academic Advising Office. Prior to helping coach at SWIC, Emilie helped coach for the Gateway Rush Soccer Club.
