Online Readiness Checklist for Students

1. Technical Skills & Equipment

Check if you:









SWIC has many resources help students increase the technical skills and confidence with technology. Check out SWIC Technology Assistance or participate in the Success Center Launch your Success program. Students can also check out laptops, hot spots, and other technology through the Library.

2. Academic Preparedness

Check if you:








The Success Centers and SWIC Libraries have many resources to help students gain academic confidence. If you have questions about how your skills align with courses, talk with an academic advisor before enrolling.

3. Time Management & Motivation

Check if you:








SWIC Success Coaches can help student create study plans, develop prioritization skills, and overall improve time management. Students can also enroll in ORIE 101 – a one-hour course for academic credit focus on helping students learn everything from time management to utilizing campus resources.

4. Learning Environment

Check if you:






SWIC campuses have many options for studying from the Success Centers to libraries to lounges to computer labs and open areas.
