Workforce Equity Initiative (WEI)
Through the Workforce Equity Initiative Grant, SWIC provides short-term (one year or less) training in several career options.
The purpose of this Illinois grant is to create, support, or expand short-term workforce training opportunities in high-need communities focused on specific sectors with identified workforce gaps.
This initiative focuses on developing our area’s workforce by providing participants with a certification that will lead qualified applicants to employment in high-demand career fields with industry standard wages.
