Sexual Harassment and Misconduct (Title IX)

Southwestern Illinois College prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, which includes sexual harassment/misconduct, in its education and employment programs and activities.

Sexual harassment/misconduct definition includes but is not limited to unwelcome requests for sexual favors, sexual advances, other verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature, or other sexual conduct, as well as sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.

SWIC board policy covers options and resources available to survivors, student notification of rights and options and an explanation of the role of the Title IX coordinator.
