Early Childhood Education Program overview

Earning an Early Childhood Education bachelor’s degree will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to work with children from birth to second grade in a daycare setting.

This degree is designed for students planning on transferring to a four year institution and earning a bachelor’s degree. Students intending to find employment after completing a two-year degree should take a look at our ECE Associate in Applied Science program.

Southwestern Illinois College is an entitled institution through Gateways to Opportunity: Illinois Professional Development Program. The program’s AAS degree offers ECE Credential Levels 2-4 and Infant Toddler Credential Level 2.
