The officers and employees with the SWIC Department of Public Safety strive for a safe and secure campus environment throughout District No. 522 that upholds the dignity of all people and develops a partnership with students, faculty and staff within the college community.

COMPLIMENTS

We seek to go above and beyond.  If you experienced an officer or Public Safety employee who you feel went outside the normal call of duty or who provided you with excellent service, we would be delighted to hear from you.

CITIZEN COMPLAINTS

If you believe an officer or Public Safety employee has not acted professionally or ethically, you can file a complaint to initiate an investigation of the officer’s behavior.

Complaints will be accepted by any department member and promptly given to the appropriate supervisor. 

Although written complaints are preferred, a complaint may also be filed orally, either in person or by telephone.  Such complaints will be directed to a supervisor. 

If you wish to submit a written complaint, please download the SWIC Citizen Complaint Form and return to either the Belleville Campus or Sam Wolf Granite City Public Safety offices.
