The following is suggested by the Technology Assistance Center to help students with their technology needs. Please make sure you are following up with other departments as needed.
SWIC’s Technology Assistance has extended hours year-round to help keep you connected. Call, email or visit if you need additional help.
Step 1: Get Your Student ID Number
Step 2: Setup or Login to your eSTORM Account
Students NEW to SWIC will need to go to eSTORM and click the “New user?” link to create your eSTORM account.
If you are a previous student (including Dual Credit/Running Start), you likely just need to change your eSTORM password to login.

Step 3: Login to Student Email and Setup MFA

Step 4: Connect to Brightspace
Go to https://swic.brightspace.com/d2l/login and sign in with your SWIC student email and eSTORM password. Some notes about Brightspace:
- Students NEW to SWIC’s Brightspace – your account will be created two weeks before your classes begin. Try logging in within that time frame.
- Enrollment changes (adds/drops) may take 24-48 to reflect in Brightspace.
- Class access will be granted on the start date of that class.

Step 5: Connect to Campus Wi-Fi
Select SWIC Student and sign in with your Student ID number and eSTORM password.

Step 6: Setup SWIC Alert
Signing up for SWIC Alert will allow us to send email/text alerts to you if there is a campus closure or other emergency.
Student Technology Tips
- Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help!
- Forgotten or expired password? Go to eSTORM and click on the “Forgot password?” link to reset it.
- Make sure you finish your password reset on eSTORM; the default password will not work on other SWIC systems.
- Once your eSTORM password is reset, it will automatically reset passwords for email, Brightspace, campus Wi-Fi and SWIC Alert.
- Check your SWIC email! This is the primary means of communication between SWIC and YOU.
- New phone/phone number? Contact us to have your MFA reset.
