Head Coach – DAN SKAER
Coach Dan Skaer is a returning SWIC Alumnus, having competed for Belleville Area College in 1995-96. He helped take the ‘96 team to the NJCAA Finals and was named an Academic All-American. After one season competing at SIUE he started his high school Coaching Career. Skaer coached at Belleville East HS from 1998-2024. Coach Skaer is married to Trish Skaer and has 4 adult children, Ty, Aaron, Max and JoJo.
The 2025-26 Men’s Tennis team will be looking to improve on their 18th place finish at the 2025 NJCAA Tournament. First year coach, Dan Skaer inherits 4 returning players: Kolten Tabbert, Ethan Moeller, Ethan Miller and Jack Meyer. Along with a strong recruiting class of Wyatt Jurgensmeyer, Manaye Mossman, William Lewis, Brennan Cox and Aaron Armaah. The 2025-26 Blue Storm will face a grueling schedule of mostly DII and DIII schools throughout the Fall and Spring to prepare for the Sectionals in May.
Assistant Coach – BOB KEEFE
Coach Keefe began his coaching career 1976 at Belleville West High School and has never stopped coaching or teaching tennis through the present! He has been a High School Varsity Girls Tennis Coach at Belleville West for 34 years, Girls Varsity Coach at Incarnate Word Academy for 2 years, Head Boys Coach at Waterloo HS for 2 years, Head Boys Tennis Coach at John Burroughs School for 2 years, Assistant Varsity Coach at Belleville West every year since retiring in 2007, Assistant Coach at Incarnate Word Academy for 2 years and for the past 4 years Assistant Varsity Girls Tennis Coach at John Burroughs School.
This is Coach Keefe’s second year as Tennis Coach for SWIC.
